Alan Pardew says Newcastle United's crushing defeat at St James Park is the lowest point in his career.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew apologized to the fans on his side's humiliating defeat of Liverpool at St James Park.

The Magpies suffered the biggest defeat [a 6-0 defeat] at home since 1925 ago.

"First, for the squad and staff, we apologize for the performance of our show," said Pardew told NUFCTV.

"We know in the next three games, we need at least one win, if not more, and it should start against West Ham United."

"I'm afraid this is the lowest point in my career because it's performance, as shown in the final result, everything is not good enough."

"I think the starter selection is not going well for us. Performance seemed influenced by a goal, 2-0 at the beginning really affect some players."

"We seemed disorganized and this is not an individual problem, it should be our collective problems to solve."

"We have three or four players in the locker room who are in this position and we have to issue a degraded and the experience to make sure it does not happen again."
